As opposed to many of its IP competitors who came into being in the last half-century, Fish & Richardson has deep IP roots going back to its founding in Boston in 1878, when it represented some of the earliest names in innovation — Alexander Graham Bell, Thomas Edison, and the Wright brothers, just to name a few. The firm’s IP law expertise evolved along with technology, and the firm continued to serve top clients through the Industrial Revolution, the dot-com boom, the financial crisis, and into today.
