Lawyer Shot In The Head Now Suspended From Practice

More fallout from attack on South Carolina attorney.

In a one-page order, South Carolina Chief Justice Don Beatty issued an interim suspension of Alex Murdaugh’s law license following the bizarre events of the last few days.

Murdaugh, whose wife and son were murdered a few months ago, was shot in the head the other day while changing a tire. There are unconfirmed reports that someone tampered with the tire before Murdaugh left the house to set the stage for the attack. Thankfully the bullet only grazed him and landed him in the hospital for two days. After that, news leaked that he had left the firm bearing his family name amid allegations that he’d been pilfering funds from the business. Then he announced that he was entering rehab and that he’d made decisions “that I truly regret.”

The order notes that Murdaugh consented to the license suspension.

Every single day this story gets weirder.
