Elite Litigation Boutique Wows With Year-End Bonuses That Exceed Biglaw
These are some very generous bonuses.
It’s easy to think that the top salaries in the legal profession can be found at the biggest law firms. But perhaps you haven’t been paying attention to the bonuses at elite boutiques. These small but mighty firms often offer associates bonuses much larger than Biglaw. Today, we have another boutique wowing with its bonuses.
Litigation boutique Susman Godfrey just announced associate bonuses — and, wow, are they impressive. The median bonuses for Susman Godfrey associates by graduation year are as follows:

These median bonuses blow the numbers for Biglaw out of the water. Take the class of 2020, their Biglaw bonus is $30,000 while at Susman they’re averaging $55,000 more. The class of 2014 is $45,000 better off at the elite boutique over Biglaw.
Additionally, the firm announced its partnership class, all seven associates eligible for election were made full equity partners. You can read the firm’s announcement on the next page.
