Senior Tax Controversy Attorney

Our client, a reputable midwestern law firm, is looking for senior associate or counsel with experience in tax controversy and litigation to join the firm’s tax practice in Madison or Milwaukee, Wisconsin.  Attorneys in the tax controversy and litigation practice regularly represent clients in matters before the federal, state, and local tax authorities and courts throughout the midwest and across the United States.  Their clients are businesses in the banking, insurance, manufacturing, telecommunications, and real estate industries, among others.  The ideal candidate should have more than five years of experience representing businesses and individuals in controveries involving sales and use tax, multistate apportionment, property taxes, and federal corporate income tax.  Experience litigating in federal courts, including the U.S. Tax Court, state courts, and state tax courts, is highly valued.  An LL.M. in Taxation and admission to the Wisconsin bar are preferred, but not required.  Candidates with strong litigation skills with interest and experience in tax litigation are encouraged to apply.  For confidential consideration, please email jobs@kinneyrecruiting.com.
