Seeking Deputy General Counsel
This Deputy General Counsel will assist the General Counsel on all legal matters pertaining to running a professional services business and oversee external counsel. Position may be fully remote, apply within.
A financial advisory company has retained Kinney Recruiting on a search for a Deputy General Counsel in Southern California (Los Angeles preferred) or Chicago. The company (100 employees across the United States) provides tax and financial consulting to ultra-high net worth individuals and families. This Deputy General Counsel will assist the General Counsel on all legal matters pertaining to running a professional services business, including risk management, reviewing and negotiating commercial agreements, engagement letters, coordinate with HR on employment law matters, and oversee external counsel.
Due to the breadth of responsibilities, we would prefer candidates with at least five (5) years of in-house experience and/or law firm experience. The ability and desire to work in a high-growth environment and to work independently are essential. While this company has office space in Los Angeles and Chicago, the candidate may choose to work on a permanent remote basis.
