Associate Bonus Watch: Big Pay Day If You've Put In Big Hours
Firm offers additional $40K for big billers.
Schulte Roth & Zabel announced their bonuses last week, but for some reason no one sent us the memo until now. I guess everyone over there was too busy helping out their boy Matt Lauer to give ATL the heads up.
In any event, SRZ matched the Cravath scale for its rank and file associates. For those who’ve forgotten, the Cravath scale is:
Class of 2017 — $15,000 (pro-rated)
Class of 2016 — $15,000
Class of 2015 — $25,000
Class of 2014 — $50,000
Class of 2013 — $65,000
Class of 2012 — $80,000
Class of 2011 — $90,000
Class of 2010 — $100,000
Class of 2009 — $100,000
But the real winners are those who billed 2300+ and 2500+ this year.
In addition the Firm will again reward associates who have made extraordinary contributions to the Firm and our clients by recording 2,300 and 2,500 eligible hours with additional bonuses. This year we are very pleased to increase these additional amounts to $20,000 for associates attaining each threshold (for a total of $40,000 for those satisfying both).
That’s a nice way to walk into 2018 for these associates. A first-year could take home $55K? Not too shabby.
