How Merger Mania Affects Your Practice Management Tech

ATL-Legal-Tech-Non-Event-Promo-Image-1b-editThere has been lots and lots of movement within the legal technology space of late. And law practice management software providers are the ones doing most of the moving — whether they are acquiring or being acquired.

But every single one of those moves is seismic for a not insignificant number of attorneys who are users of the affected software programs.

So, in this episode of the Non-Eventcast, we brought in a fabulous foursome of guests, who helped us cut through all the noise:  Dov Slansky of Litify, Jim Garrett of Assembly Software, Colin Li of Paradigm and Igor Selizhuk of Smart Advocate.

First things first, though, I invite everybody to give their death predictions for Stranger Things, Season 5 (2:41).

Next, we address all of these acquisitions, what they mean for lawyers, and what attorneys need to do, if anything (7:10). And, of course, in a world in which acquisitions are hot and heavy, we discussed the ins and outs of migrating from one software to another (12:06).

We finished up by trying to untangle the vast array of integration options for law practice management software tools (28:16).

If you’re looking at all the changes happening in legaltech, and just wish you could bury your head in the sand, don’t do that just yet. Stick some AirPods in instead, and let us help you stabilize.

And while you’re here, feel free to check out our Practice Management Buyer’s Guide to ensure you have the best possible system in place.
